Hillbilly Debutante cruises to Beer-Golf.com Manila Win
West Virginia native Bob Ayers won his Beer-Golf.com debut barely breaking a sweat in steamy conditions at Manila Southwoods. The 2015 Champions Tour aspirant scored 75 points playing only two rounds of the best two out of three Stableford format. Despite missing the second round to attend to fatherly duties hosting 30 rugrats on a trampoline, Ayers lapped the field by a 7 points to claim the 2003 Beer-Golf.com Manila Invitational.
Perennial Beer-Golf.com runner-up, President Brian Forrester shot an impressive 68 point total but still had his wallet significantly lightened playing two rounds with Ayers. Beer-Golf.com veterans Sam Mulligan, Dave Dodds and Cris Olsen were all on 66 points with Slim Shady winning the countback for third place honors.
An impressive Hong Kong contingent, recruited by newly appointed Caddie Relations Manager Styler Williams, was led by ladies division champion, May Chun. The adulation of the field was extended to Tournament Organizer and Beer-Golf.com Presdient Briano as well as the Master of Manila tee times, Cris Olsen.
